How does my learning style affect my teaching?
↪ According to a test we took during our Professional Practice class I'm first a kinesthetic learner💫🙆♀️, second a visual learner🌈👀 and third an auditory one👂. ↩
This makes sense since, during my classes you can always find me writing down 👀, underlyning👀, repeating👂 or moving to signal important ideas🙆♀️.
KINESTHETIC
Part of my teaching involves acting out situations with a little exaggeration💃. Besides, I'm a person and a teacher who makes a lot of hand and facial gestures. 💁♀️
Furthermore, my activities normally imply changing places,🏃♂️🏃♀️ walking around the room, roleplaying 🎭 and even some outside the classroom for a change.🏫
I have also noticed that moving my hands helps me organize ideas, this happens as if the concepts were just floating around and I get to bring them in front of me to organize them in their corresponding place.🙌👎🤞👉
VISUAL
Whenever I teach a grammatical topic I have to write it down for them to see🎯, I underline key words and build graphic organizers for helping them " understand better" , I haven't thought of this as biased until now...
Besides, visual and color elements are an essential element in my presentations and materials🎨
AUDITORY
Regarding the auditory part, I learned English through songs, by listening and watching lyrical videos of those songs. 🎬🎹
Due to this, I currently try to incorporate music and videos in the classroom. Besides this, I'm careful with pronunciation, modelling it with calm and nice intonation, unlike when I get nervous because I have to talk at school. Also most of the times I find myself correcting pronunciation mistakes in my students. 👩🏫

Great ideas for teaching VAK students. Being versatile can be one of your greatest advantages. Always keep in mind your student's personalities, some students prefer a type of activities over other so finding balance is key.
